F.A.Q.
Why don’t you shoot weddings?
A couple of reasons: Primarily, my laid back shooting style is not conducive to the hustle and bustle of the hectic wedding day. Secondly, wedding photography is not my specialty. You deserve the best on your wedding day, and I believe that you should hire a professional photographer that has mastered photographing weddings.
What is a “digital darkroom?”
The digital age has revolutionized the way I work. I was classically trained using film and chemicals. Following graduation, I had to master the computer software used in today’s digital processing: Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Lightroom. With these programs, I am able to perfect your images.
What if I can’t afford to have a session with you?
Most of us are on a budget, and I am sensitive to your financial circumstances. I offer payment plans, various forms of payment (including PayPal), and custom print packages. I am happy to work with you… just let me know!
Contests, discounts, and promotions are announced on the Facebook Fan Page first! “Like” the page, and be in the know!
I know a family that would be blessed by your photography services, but they are super strapped for extra cash. Can you help?
Yes! You may nominate them for a free portrait session! Please email me their story, and why you feel they should receive a complimentary session with me. There are a limited number of spaces per year, so please only submit serious inquiries.
How long do you keep my digital negatives?
Forever. After your prints have been delivered to you, your images are moved off my computer, and on to a secure external hard drive. There is a $20 fee for files that need to be reopened.
Are my images safe if there is an act of God, fire, or computer crash?
Yes. Your images are backed up on an external hard drive, as well as, securely filed away on an offsite disc.
I want to have a sexy boudoir portrait session with you. Besides you, will anyone be able to access my images?
No. All computers, hard drives, and discs are password protected. Your proof gallery is also password protected.
Do I get photos for my Facebook profile?
Yes! A few of your photos will be tagged and used on the Fan Page.
Want more? After your session, refer 10 of your friends to “Like” the Brittany Rae Photography Facebook Page and you’ll be eligible for Facebook photos of any prints you order.
